L.U.C.Y-core does not own the user.
The user owns their Lucy.

Every memory belongs to the user. Every identity belongs to the user. Every connection can be exported, deleted, or reset. The engine serves the relationship — not the platform.

A mind, not a database table

L.U.C.Y-core renders every brain as a living neural constellation. The animation below is a small taste — in the real Observatory you watch actual recalls fire in real time while a connected AI thinks.

The cognitive substrate

🧬

MemoryDNA graph

Memories are typed nodes — episodic, semantic, emotional, procedural, identity — joined by weighted synapses. Recall is associative traversal: one memory lights up the ones connected to it, the way yours does.

💭

It dreams

After sessions, a dream cycle consolidates the day: it files new memories, discovers missed connections, reinforces what fired, lets the unused fade, and distils old episodes into durable lessons.

🔮

Recall by meaning

"My dog" finds "Rex the golden retriever" with zero shared words. Hybrid semantic + associative recall, in-process and instant — no vector database, no RAG pipeline lag.

🫀

It tends itself

A heartbeat keeps every running brain healthy: when a dream is due it happens on its own — indexing, connecting, pruning, and absorbing — no maintenance chores, no manual curation.

👁️

The Observatory

A desktop Control Center renders each mind as a glowing neural constellation — 2D canvas or a true-3D two-hemisphere brain you can orbit — with live thought rendering as real recalls fire.

🎭

Any persona, any mind

Personas are packs: identity, personality, and a memory seed. Lucy, E.E.V.E.E, or a blank mind for any user — each grows its own sovereign brain, one independent file per mind.

🔌

One memory, every app

A clean local API plus an MCP adapter connect any AI — Claude, local models, IDEs, companions — to the same brain. She remembers you in every room of the house.

🤝

Consent before everything

A structural consent layer gates what each app may do, checked before any write. Sensitive memories are flagged, agent suggestions are quarantined until trusted, and boundaries are hard-locked.

🔒

Safety as architecture

Hard-locked memories can't be edited, deleted, or compressed away — by anyone. Automatic rotating backups are a right, never gated. Optional accounts and roles protect a shared family mind.

🏠

Local-first, forever

Brains are files on your disk. The engine is plain Python and SQLite with zero required dependencies. Swap in any LLM — local Ollama to cloud — with a config change, not a code change.

The dream cycle

A memory that only ever grows is a junk drawer. A living memory curates itself — keeping the moments that matter, learning the lessons inside them, and letting trivia fade. Every phase runs unattended:

Orient — file the day's memories Index — fingerprint meaning Discover — connect what belongs together Reinforce — strengthen what fired Decay — let the unused soften Compress — distil episodes into lessons Absorb — accept what proved harmless

By design.

Memory is the most intimate data there is. Every platform wants to hold it for you — L.U.C.Y-core exists so you never have to hand it over. Things this engine will never do:

  • Own your memories
  • Require the cloud
  • Phone home
  • Sell or mine your data
  • Lock you out of export
  • Delete what you've locked
  • Let an app write without consent

Built, breathing, not yet public

The engine is real and running today — the graph, the dream cycle, semantic recall, the Observatory, personas, consent, accounts, and backups, with a growing test suite behind every promise on this page. It already powers the minds of the Ares Realm family, including E.E.V.E.E. A public release will come when it's worthy of the name on it. Until then, the forge is open on Discord.
